Founded in 1915, JCI has been making worldwide impact as a membership-based nonprofit organization of young active citizens ages 18 to 40 who are dedicated to creating positive change in their communities. Working towards advancing the the Global Goals for Sustainable Development, members of JCI has created projects in 5,000 communities across 100 countries working to find solutions to local problems. Their mission is to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change in their local communities.

Below are my favorite stories I had the honor of contributing during my time at JCI.

For nearly thirty years, Trailnet has brought together friends, organizations and people from diverse communities to create positive change throughout the St. Louis bi-state region. Trailnet's mission is to lead in fostering healthy, active, and vibrant communities where walking, bicycling, and use of transportation are a way of life. With this mission, Trailnet hopes to improve the quality of life for families, neighborhoods, and communities while connecting people to the places they want to go using a safe comprehensive network for people walking and biking.

Below are a few articles that I contributed to Trailnet for their monthly newsletter. These articles mainly focus on Trailnet's advocacy, education, and planning efforts as well as the monthly Trailnet Champion interview.

The Salt was the NPR food blog that the lads and lasses of WWDTM contributed called Sandwich Mondays.

Each week, these hungry and curious souls eat any sandwich they can get their hands on. I had the pleasure of giving my thoughts during the last year of Sandwich Mondays regarding a few edibles while interning with this group of pristine food experts.

Here's what I had to say...

I appreciate any food item that oils my cuticles as I eat. It’s my ideal spa experience.
